I am keying a green screen test from a BetaCam source captured as RGB, so the video is pretty decent and it’s not DV. The key is very good, however my problem is that the output foreground shows some noise or possibly compression artifacts. I tried outputing the same piece without doing the key (keylight) and it seems to be free of this problem. I’ve tried a number of different settings in keylight but can’t seem to get rid of this. This is showing up in a dark brown piece of clothing that our model is wearing. I can see it happening in a light colored piece but does not seem as objectionable. This artifact is jumping around and appears speckly (technical term?) but not like a banding. It’s very much like a noise. Any thoughts?

Use replace source as the replace method, it should remove the noise.

Thanks, Mark. That seemed to have cleared it up.

That is a great setting, I too was having troubles with partially transparent subject etc, when I found this option it really helped my keys look better. Glad it helped.

Brown and tan contain a slight amount of green and tend to also catch the green reflection in the highlights.
