  • Your post wasn’t particulary negative, the poster was just overly sensitive.

  • People from pretty much every major broadcaster in the world read this forum. You’re probably not going to increase your chances of gaining a meaninful career by biting the hand of the people that are probably going to be your future employers and can make you very rich. I’m constantly amazed at how many ask questions here that have been asked a thousand times before without ever checking the archives. The same people then seem to get their panties in a twist when all these busy professionals can’t drop their paying work to immediatly answer their question. all so they can add a cliche effect they copied from some MTV video and put it on their fraternaty hazing video for tonights keg party.

OH MY GOD NEW PEOPLE! READ THIS NOW

THE ARCHIVES ARE A WEALTH OF INFORMATION IF YOU BOTHER TO SIFT THROUGH IT. THERE’S MORE INFORMATION IN THE ARCHIVES THAN YOUD GET IF YOU SPENT 50K A YEAR IN FILM SCHOOL FOR 100 YEARS. READ THEM ALL AND THEN DONATE THE MONEY TO THE COW NETWORK, OR SEND A CHECK TO THE TUTORIAL MAKERS.

At least you didn’t ask how to make the gnarls barkly video for the 20th time this week. Why does everyone want to make their own bad version of something thats already been done and beendone really well? It’ll be the acid wash jeans of video effects within the next 6 months.

    easier way

make a junk matte of just the area animate it as need be
then dupe the layer and make use levels etc to make all the skin color go white and the markers black, then invert that you now have a nice mask of the markers

you can now use that as a track matte to clone out the markers
you can dupe it a few pixels to the left or right to clone from
or fill it with a skin color if it doesn’t need to be perfect
