  • I tried this tool didn’t repair the project.

  • I had previous versions of the project copied to other locations. Then saved it as a new version and forgot to save it to a new location.

    Only 1 project file exists.

Is there any way to fix the corrupt file or am I out of luck?

  • I have 3 machines all running on 7.0.3 all don’t want to open file.

I was working on the tower. Then moved it on the laptop to do a quick export, same hardrive Graid. While it was on the laptop it opened but crashed on one export. I then opened it up again on the laptop worked fine. Then 2 days later I moved it back to the tower same Graid and now it’s corrupt. I tried everything on all threads nothing is working.

I know I’m kicking myself in the butt right now, the auto vault option was turned off from a previous project and I forgot to turn it back on. The auto-save was crashing my previous project not related to this one.

    Hi,

    I’m having the same problem:
This project is unreadable or may be too new for this version of Final Cut

Are you able to look at my project file? I have an older version that you can compare it to, and no I do not have an auto save version. stupid me forgot to turn it back on after working on another project that kept crashing when the autosave was turned on.

    Thanks,
    Maja
