I’m outputting from Premiere at 7CBR. VBR target 7, max 8. Highest quality MPEG2-DVD…quality at 5. Same framerate etc.

Now here’s the WEIRD thing. I outputted the same test clip from After Effects, and the sucker is as clear as a bell. Same settings as far as I can tell.

Does Premiere use a “fisher-price” version of the encoder or what? 🙂 This is just weird weird weird.

Targa sequence seems right. I can open up the individual targas, but when I try and import them into AE, I click the Targa Sequence, it recognizes the order…I hit ok…It does nothing. No processing hourglass.

Final Cut Pro can see exports from AE, but AE can’t see exports from Final Cut Pro.

That’s a good point about the Quicktime codec. I will also try and update that.

It was shot originally in HDV I believe. 1960×1440

Targa sequence like Steve Roberts suggested. I’ll try that today.

To clarify, the video can be seen in FCP, and on Apple computers, but when burnt to a disc and put onto my PC based AE, only the audio is seen, and the video is white.

Had something similiar to that, and reloading the footage is what solved the problem.

Echo has worked well in that regard. Twixtor might help if you have it.

I took the video down because I only have 10mb of storage to use. Should look into some larger hosting elsewhere so if you have suggestions…

So if you look at the sphere in the upper left, that’s noticably 3d when we’re flying by it. Can AE do rudimentary 3d spheres?
