currently i have a 16:9 edit in my timeline, once exported and placed on a DVD i have this annoying line. I want to export an uncompressed self contained film and then re import into a timeline as a single 16:9 movie not an edit with a thousand shots as now. Once i have a self contained film in the timeline i can add a mask. currently i would have to add a mask to each individual shot. The problem is that at the moment when i export to quicktime it changes the film into a 4:3 image. When i re import that image into my 16:9 timeline it remains 4:3.

firstly thanks for the advice. I dont have a problem in actually getting rid of the line what i have a problem with is exporting the cut into an uncompressed quicktime whilst maintaining the aspect ratio. The edit in the timeline is 16:9 but when exported to a self contained quicktime it ends up 720 by 480.

Yep, i’ve been cropping in the timeline, cropping in compressor but what i really want is to have something set up to crop on capture.

I was told by a company I deal with on a regular basis that I need it. I’snt the Flying cow D>A,A>D the same thing as the Sonifex red box. Also, why would I need either of these?
