September 3, 2016 at 6:44 am in reply to: Vegas Pro 13 crashes to blue screen during rendering to Sony XAVC-L formatHi,
I suggested the rollback, because:
-windows 7 is a mature and stable system, in opposite the windows 10 which is new, and may have childhood illnesses.
-a rollback also means:
-a fresh install of windows 7
-different set of driversWith all the above, if your problem still exists after you go back to win 7, it is 99% hardware problem.
Otherwise if windows 10 works for you, and you like it, keep it.Kind regards

Hi,
I had before the -41 error after reinstall. According to the support teams answer, it was because I exhausted the possible number of activations.
They had reset it for me, so everything was fine afterwards.
I suggest you to contact Magix support.Regards

September 2, 2016 at 8:17 am in reply to: Blurry frames in Sony Vegas render out very artifact-yI learned a whole lot from this forum.
So the thanks goes also to Douglas Spotted Eagle, Edward Troxel, John Rofrano, just to name few who were in a great help to me when I started with Vegas many-many years ago exactly on this forum.
Without them I would not have my expertise in Vegas…It’s nice if I can give something back 🙂

September 2, 2016 at 5:18 am in reply to: Pro 13 – rendering gets corrupted by video tasks on the same PCHi,
If I remember correctly, running over RDP, the program (be it vegas or anything else) can’t use directx.
This is why you can’t play a game over rdp.
I think, in your case, it’s about some GPU functions which are unaccessible, or less accessible when
-you are connected via RDP
-you are whatching video (as the player probably locks some resources on GPU)What if you do the render without GPU? In this case the render should not suffer from connected via RDP.
I can’t test it right now, but what if you start Vegas through RDP? Does it report any available GPU then?Regards

According to my experience, BSOD ( blue screen) is always related to hardware error or bad written kernel mode drivers.
Once I had the WHEA… error with a notebook, then the cause was the dying south-bridge chip.
Not sure about windows 10…
Can you downgrade to windows 7 temporarily?

September 1, 2016 at 9:33 am in reply to: Blurry frames in Sony Vegas render out very artifact-yHi,
You are encoding to a very high bitrate, so clear the “deblocking” option. This can cause problems with high bitrate.

Yes, save as with copy media will do the trick, but “select trimmed copies of source media”.
Another option would be ffmpeg. Did not test, but specifying start time (-ss) and duration (-t) with copy the stream would work I guess…

Can you post an example image?
With and without chromakey.Regards

August 29, 2016 at 9:47 pm in reply to: Rendering Speed Used To Be Decent But Now Is Abnormally Slow- Sony VegasWhat about cooling? Is your computers cooling OK?
Every few years the cooling mechanism has to be cleaned.
Maybe change that stuff between the cooler and the cpu.
Did you ever do such a maintenance?
Kind regards
