Rendering Speed Used To Be Decent But Now Is Abnormally Slow- Sony Vegas
Hi, I have been using Vegas 11 for some time and my render times were never great (45 minutes for a 1080p 30fps 3 minute video) but they were satisfactory. My most recent project has no additional effects or tracks that I wasn’t using before, and it’s still a 1080p 30 fps 3 minute video, but now it takes 3-4 hours to render what used to take 45 minutes. I tried downloading the Vegas 13 trial to see if it improved but it did not.
I am still exporting to the same format that I was before (mp4). The only thing I change each time I make a video is different music in the audio track and I change the text to a different song title. This shouldn’t be any longer to render.
During render my CPU is around 40%, RAM around 50%, and Disk around 5% according to Task Manager, so I don’t see what the bottleneck could be. I keep everything else closed in the background.
The first time I noticed the slow render, I hadn’t changed any Vegas specs but since then in an attempt to fix the slow rendering I changed Dyanmic RAM preview, # of rendering threads, preview quality, and made sure the frame rate of content matched project frame rate. I made sure all my CPU cores were available to Vegas to use, and Vegas priority was set to high. None of these changes helped at all.
My computer specs are
CPU: AMD a8- 4500M APU
RAM: 6GB DDR3
Local Disk Drive Capacity: 569 GBIf anyone has any idea why this is happening I’d love to know. Thanks!
