Hi,
Open a support ticket, and describe the problem.
I guess a week later you’ll get a response telling that they are investigating the problem, or something similar.Than, my best hope is there will be an update soon, which addresses this bug.
Best regards

Hi,
Just finished it, so I can report. A near 34 minutes long single movie PAL DVD with compliant video and audio took 12 seconds to prepare. I have Nero Burning ROM 11, it accepted the video_ts folder without complaints.
Just out of couriosity I prepared the same content with DVDA 6.0, that took 11 seconds, so not a big difference.Best regards

Hi,
You need another serial for V14, V13 format serial does not work.
You should have already got that serial via e-mail from Magix, if you didn’t, check your spam folders.
If you don’t find it, I recommend to contact Magix ASAP.Best regards

I can create GUI frontend to ffmpeg for that specific work, if you want me to…
😉
So, if you didn’t find the right tool yet, let me know.Best regards

The opposite can happen too.
Maybe Don was exaxtly asking for what you answered.
However I have now 3 versions of Vegas installed, and they don’t hurt each other in any way. Different settings, in different directories, and in different registry hives.
If the videocard disappeared from both 13 and 14, I would rather think of some common change, for example a freshly updated incompatible driver.Best regards

Hi,
I never needed, so sid not myself.
But when it comes to converting, my all time favourit is ffmpeg.
Take a look at this :

Hi Stefan,
The push transition (if we talk about the same, stock Vegas transition) has a “border” property, try set it to zero.
My other idea was to add another track above the track of the pictures. Let’s call this “mask”.
Make the original pictures track a compositing child of the “mask” track.
Set the compositing mode of the mask track to “multiply”.
Now the pictures ar invisible, because the mask track is empty/transparent.
Add a solid white (generated media/solid color) event to the mask track.
Now, if you apply pan/crop, bezier mask, cookie cutter, or anything else masking to the solid white event, it results the underlying pictures track to be masked, so where the white becomes tranparent because of masking, there the pictures are tranparent too, making visible the background behind it.And this whole thing is possible to move by parent motion of the “mask” track.
The “hole in the middle” is simpler, and much less CPU intensive. The second technique is more flexible, but requires more compution on playback and render.
I’m glad if I could help 😉

September 30, 2016 at 6:11 am in reply to: Overall feelings on MVP 14, please give me yoursI have mixed feelings with Vegas 14 and DVDA, but I am more positive, than negative.
I planned to upgrade to VP13 this year later, for the reason it has GPU support. The Magix deal just brought it sooner, the “deal” price (for what I get V14 for free later) I had to pay, was very close, or equal to the upgrade price I would have paid for SONY to upgrade my V10. So I took it, and invested in a cheap, yet capable video card.
I was completely disappointed with Vegas 13, because the set of bugs it had made impossible to work with it as I used to with Vegas 10. Disabling GPU solved all these problems, but with disabled GPU I see no improvement at all over Vegas 10.
Fortunately, in Vegas14 those bugs that hurted me so much are now fixed.
And I really appreciate it! Vegas 14 currently is a usable, useful tool for me.
Of course I don’t like the new bugs introduced in V14, like the problems with .mxf and .m2t files – these bugs don’t hurt me now, but may do in the future, and I expect Magix to fix them.
I don’t like that AC3 pro encoder is completely ripped off.
Before, it was part of the DVDA, and after installing DVDA it got available in Vegas too. Now this is not the case with DVDA7.0 and V14.
(Currently I can workaround: render audio to wav, then render wav to ac3 pro in vegas 10 or 13 – but I need to have installed previous, otherwise useless versions for that.)
I don’t really like the supports response time, which is about a week or so.
I don’t really like how V14 looks with this new flat gray icon set, V13 looked much better I think.
There’s definitely many room for improvement in both the product, and the support.Best regards
