Hi,
I don’t have AE, but what I would do is to render out that piece of timeline into a lossless codec.
Than process it with AE (or any other software), render from there to losless well, then import back to Vegas, and simply cover the piece of timeline with the processed file.Best regards

November 11, 2016 at 11:33 am in reply to: Vegas 14 youtube quality issues, pixelatingHi,
I tried to wacth those videos.
I could see it in 720p on my notebook, and I could not watch them full length.
The main difference, as I see, is that the first video in your post was shot by an action cam mounted right on the bike somewhere, while the other was with a cam mounted on your hat on top of your head.
So that the second video got a lot of stabilisation by your spine and neck.
The first video has to deal with 10000 times more motion.
I think that makes a difference too.If you plan to upload to youtube, I think 15Mbps mp4 will do. Higher bitrates of course work better for fast motion, but youtube will convert them anyway, so at the end there will be zero difference.
These are just my thoughts, stay tuned for others comments.

Those are the file format plugins of Vegas.
Is there a project that Vegas tries to open at startup?
May it contain defect files?Best regards

What???
Are you the author of Vegasaur?
Yes, it would be nice to have the ability to add fade in/out so that it extends the event.
So fade in before the current start of event, fade out after the current end of the event.
I remember I had some other ideas before, but forgot them.
I’ll contact you when they come back :)))Best regards

This trick works if there’s only one event.
But for such trimming and adding fade in for only one event I would not look for a script, I think Christie would not too. What I described should work with any number of events selected (assuming the don’t overlap after extending).
When there’s something tedious and repeptitive, I always look for a way if it is doable with Vegasaur. Mostly it is ????
In this case it is “almost”.Best regards

Hi,
Almost… ????
Vegasaur Quick proerties can do almost this in 2 steps.
First extend the events by 2 seconds, then apply. Then apply the fade-in.
Look at pictures attached.
What you need to do is to drag these events 2 seconds earlier after that, because Vegasaur keeps them in place.
If your events are just still pictures (jpg, png, etc), then you don’t have to mess with “Take Offset”.Best regards

November 8, 2016 at 6:14 am in reply to: Samsung Galaxy S7 in SonyVegas Magix. Problem with pixels, focusHi,
this file is played fine in my Vegas14, 13, as well as in Potplayer, and also on my Popcorn Hour.
Vegas10 detects it wrongly as 120fps, but other than that it plays fine, without artifacts.Best regards

November 7, 2016 at 7:49 pm in reply to: Why is Rendered Image Squeezed in Sony Vegas 13?If I understood correctly, you just nested the squeezing project into a new project, and then the weird squeezing disappeared?
If that’s the case, I suspect you just hit a bug in Vegas, because it should look exactly the same…Best regards

Hi,
I use this this:
https://github.com/tokland/youtube-upload/
to upload to youtube.
It runs on my Ubuntu based homeserver. There’s a cron job, that runs every 2 minutes which monitors a folder, and if there’s a file there, it calls Tokland uploader, and that uploads the file to my channel.
Maybe a bit tricky to set up, but very convenient afterwards. Just copy the file to that folder (shared on my network), and forget it. Youtube then sends the mail, when the file got uploaded 🙂Best regards
