Hello, I have been encountering a problem with Vegas 14. Upon loading the window, it says that Vegas has stopped working. Here is my error report.

    Problem Description
    Application Name: VEGAS Pro
    Application Version: Version 14.0 (Build 189) 64-bit
    Problem: Unmanaged Exception (0xe0434352)
    Fault Module: C:\Windows\system32\KERNELBASE.dll
    Fault Address: 0x000007FEFD48A49D
    Fault Offset: 0x000000000000A49D

    Fault Process Details
    Process Path: C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 14.0\vegas140.exe
    Process Version: Version 14.0 (Build 189) 64-bit
    Process Description: VEGAS Pro
Process Image Date: 2016-10-25 (Tue Oct 25) 19:39:54

I tried updating and reinstalling but it didn’t work. Hope to get it working again.

I have a Dell T5500 with one Xeon Processor and WIndows 7. I’ll get more info if needed.

    EDIT:

I have deduced that it is a plugin problem involving the following plugins: compoundplug, mcmp4plug, and qt7plug. Any clue on what these plugins are and if they are essential for editing and rendering?

The directory where they were found are at C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 14.0\FileIO Plug-Ins

Those are the file format plugins of Vegas.
Is there a project that Vegas tries to open at startup?
    May it contain defect files?

    Best regards

Did you reset Vegas? WIth previous versions, on the desktop icon Hold down Ctrl+Shift, double click the Vegas icon. It’s important to check, delete cached data, then Yes to reset. This will set Vegas back to default install values.

    Best Regards…..George

Was getting that same error (Kernelbase.dll, 0xc06d007e exception), apps would not start, not only Vegas but some other apps too. Found out it was the NetFramework that was messing the things up. Windows 7 updates bugged, and smth went wrong. Reinstalled NetFramework, everything back to normal.
