Currently I don’t have to relink. I just have 1 event and 1 project so I overwrite the currentversion.fcpproject and fcpevent and everything works fine.

Bring in your favorite color tools as effects from Motion, then you can key frame any color parameter you like.

This must be something with 10.0.9 which seemed to squash the dreaded “Modified File” bug. I’ve been doing my auduo processing with iZotope and have had zero problems relinking to the new processed file. Seems that the important thing is the length of the clip doesn’t change.

Final Cut Pro projects and events can be easily duplicated by the finder – I don’t see why carbon copy cloner would cause a problem. I could see how it would be a problem with the motion templates folder but as long as your event file, your project file, and your media copy to another drive, you’re good to go.

Is it any better if you right click the clip and open it in the angle editor, then make your audio adjustments there?
