August 5, 2017 at 11:05 pm in reply to: Can’t open some old projects because my previos version of Vegas 14.0 had some plug-insHello! Just wanted to let you know that updating my build solved my issue, thanks a lot!
I had to format my drive due to personal reasons (space, junk, etc.) and I usually have an external drive where I store all my installers. I had the Vegas installer inside (size was 4 MB, so it had to download and install) but I never realized and currently can’t even understand why it downloads and installs such an old build.
I can now open my projects. It still shows a warning telling me that some plugins are missing, but Vegas doesn’t crash anymore and lets me continue with my work.
Thanks again!

Thing is I have some other projects I should start working on, and I don’t want to “infect” my new projects with this issue and drag the problem.
Does this info help?

That’s the problem. I used the same version of Vegas to edit those files. The only difference back then was that I had those plugins installed.

Just want to let you know that your advice was a great workaround! I’m still getting used to the new tools that ProType has but it was just what I needed. Thanks again.
