I would highly recommend understanding how to use the nodes in resolve and when to use the different types of nodes, this is what’s going to unlock the true power of resolve as apposed to say Apple Color.

Should’t be too hard find some free tutorials on this, if not there are a couple of good pay options that don’t break the bank.

Try switching off force conform in your conform timeline.

Also, if you unlock the track that the clips are on, does a yellow triangle with an explanation mark show up on the clips that aren’t linking properly? If so, click on the triangle and it will give you a list of possible clips that could be connected – if this is the case, davinci is having trouble choosing the right clip based on reel name, clip name, etc.

I became too frustrated with constantly relaunching software, loosing clips to black and pulled the Red Rocket card from my system, all clips are now popping up perfectly.

However episode render time has gone from 22 mins, to 4 and a half hours… and there is a rather expensive piece of hardware sitting next to me on the desk instead of in the box.

Does anyone know of any shortcuts for the media panel?

I need to add about 130 mattes to some vfx shots, keyboard shortcut could definitely come in handy at this point….

Still having the same problem – despite updating:

All 3 versions of Resolve, Updating through 2 different CUDA versions and updating RED Rocket Firmware and still having the same issue…

Please fix this…. It’s starting to get old.

Having any luck?

I tried flashing the RED rocket firmware which seemed to temporarily help – but definitely still experiencing it randomly re-appearing.

Doesn’t seem to be heat issue, I can boot straight into davinci from a system that has been off for 2 days and go straight to black frames, seems to be on shots from lonnnng takes.
