Clips and thumbnails become black
Posted by Mathieu Marano on October 11, 2012 at 3:08 amHi,
I have this weird problem on Resolve 9. I load clips in the Media pool and conform an XML to these clips. THe more I go through the timeline, the more clips loose their thumbnails and just become black. I eventually have to restart the software to get them back. Any clue? Thanks
I work on a Macbook Pro Retina with a 650M and 16G RAM.

October 11, 2012 at 4:11 amIt looks like it mostly happens when I spend too much time in the CONFORM page.

October 13, 2012 at 12:19 amI get that too. I’m on Resolve 9.0.1 on Windows 7. I just wrote it off to the software still having some bugs and not being stabilized yet. But good to bring it up so hopefully they can get it back to the standard they had with Resolve 8.

October 31, 2012 at 2:36 pmStill having the same problem – despite updating:
All 3 versions of Resolve, Updating through 2 different CUDA versions and updating RED Rocket Firmware and still having the same issue…
Please fix this…. It’s starting to get old.

November 6, 2012 at 4:11 pmI became too frustrated with constantly relaunching software, loosing clips to black and pulled the Red Rocket card from my system, all clips are now popping up perfectly.
However episode render time has gone from 22 mins, to 4 and a half hours… and there is a rather expensive piece of hardware sitting next to me on the desk instead of in the box.
Liam.

November 7, 2012 at 6:27 pmSame issue here.
I reinstalled de CUDA drivers and worked. After one boot it became black media again.
I’m using a Macbook Pro Mid 2011, 8 Gbs RAM with Cinema Display 27″
I’m going to try a MacPro, but it’s very disappointing this kind of thing.
