    hi Claus-Peter Wolf,

I’m in cologne and we have a dl-extreme+prempro system since april this year. we use it primary as a high quality capture system than a broadcast editing place, but we will do more editing and realtime things in the future – so it would be interesting to share experiences with other decklink users – maybe like a “stammtisch”…
german word for coming together, talk and drink some koelsch beer 🙂

the last months we used the 5.1.1. drivers they were very stable. the only thing we noticed was that when we capture longer videofiles (about 90-120 minutes) prempro 1.5 shows very longs delays in the updating & interactivity of the interface (for example trimming and making hard cuts), sometimes also the famous “a serious error…” crashes come up.

for the new project starting next week we’ll try the new 5.2.2. drivers – before that I will do some test over the weekend, I will also check the things you have described (project manager, etc.)

for more contact here’s my email: rummelplatz2000@yahoo.com

    sunny weekend,
    lemmur.

  • hi michael,

did you select the file in the project window? it’s not working if you select the audioclip in the timeline. (also there must be audio in the -for example- avi-file) premiere also splits a stereo wav file into two mono-files, maybe you can try this for testing.

    my congiuration: premierepro 1.51 / DL-Extreme / Dual-Xeon

    it must work 🙂

    berny.

    hi,

yes I captured also in 5.1, but didn’t find a way to separate the channels. played a lot with the routing, export, etc… no solution. we have a dl extreme, so the workaround via xlr is possible. maybe you can change the channel-routing at your player..?

    nobody else need that???
that’s really strange, because we have a lot of projects with m+e tracks or 2 language tracks. so you always have to capture all 4 audio-channels and it would be really cool when we could handle that with a bm via sdi and prempro… still hoping.

or do we have to buy a dongle…what was it named..yes, apple 🙂

    hi,

I have the same problem (xp & prempro) and posted it here about two months ago – but no replies…guess we have to wait for new drivers. my workaround: batch-capture channel 3+4 via xlr (analog yuv-mode, audio only in prempro). how is this working with fcp 5 and the new drivers???

    cheerz, lemmur.
