Thank you Michael, but Adobe Help was the first place I went. From what I got out of it, you can apply it to any layer. but why can’t I see the effect? I have to be missing something.

I was going to as a last resort only because I was sure that other people had experiences “missing plug-ins”. I like to use these types of question to hear other people experiences and trouble shooting ideas and by creating a references for others with the same issue. Unfortunatly I have posted it twice and got no response So I will contact Jerzy Drozda Jr. I am suprise though that he didn’t respond because he is part of the cow community and that is where I got the plug-in.
I will keep you all posted on his response.
Thanks -
are you refering to broadcast safe colors?

you could find a frame where the monitor looks normal. make a still and mask it. Then camera track the corners of the monitor of the footage and attach the still to the tracked footage over the monitor.

January 19, 2010 at 8:52 pm in reply to: 2 different error messages then complete melt downI had the Open GL off and the mulitprocessing. I don’t believe the footage is one of the negative ones you listed. It’s from FCP 7 uncompressed 8-bit Component Y’CbCr. I have use this type of footage for a good year now without this issue.
I may not have AE version 9.0.2? when I open it it says version 9. I just ran software updates and adobe updates and they both say it’s up to date.
Thanks Dave for your suggestion. It was helpful and I printed it out to keep on hand. Do you have any other thoughts?
Joey, I also ways had trouble going to File > Export. Using the render queue was always reliable until now. most people I find have issues with File> Export. Thank you for the question though

I think you will have to duplicate the layer then rotoscope the blue shirt people.

oh no Dave, I wasn’t using FCP to composite. Just to test to see if my mov output looked interlace in FCP. We are actually going to use the alpha in Flash to go over a webpage. I never use FCP for composite. that’s what AE is for

Funny, when play it just as a QT mov on it’s own I see the interlace. I put the mov file in Final Cut Pro and the interlace is gone. I guess that means I am alset.
render setting is Animation + Millon, MOV

Thank you, but still no luck. I tried both ways and both ways together. Still has the interlace issue. I thought maybe it had to do with my keylight settings, but i don’t think so because her lips when she talks looks interlaced too.
