    Hi Filip.

Thanks again for making this script. I am using it a lot in my workflow. I was wondering if it would be easy to create a version where you can select a group of layers, then run the script and it will leave just the un-parented layers selected?

    That would be ace.

    Best regards,

    Laurie

    Hi Filip,

This is great! Thanks so much for making this. I have one question, is it possible for the null position to be the average of all the selected layers. It currently seems to create the average position of the unparented layers only.

    Thanks so much.

    Hi Andrei,

Thanks for taking a look at this. I was hoping there would be a neater way of doing this that wouldn’t require those array setups.

I’ve tried using the expression you have suggested but, I’m getting an error on line 1:

    inPoints[1]=thisComp.layer(“Layer 1”).inPoint*50;
    Error: inPoints is not defined

Please let me know if you can think of a fix for this.

    Many thanks,

    Laurie

    Thanks Sachin,

Unfortunately, I haven’t got the budget to upgrade at the moment. Thanks for the response though.

Thanks very much for your response. I have continued researching this afternoon and found a simple shortcut which solves my problem:

By selcting the layer I wished to replace in the compostion, then select the asset I wished to replace it with and pressing “Ctrl+Alt+/” it then replaces the asset while maintaining all of the layers properties and animation.

    Hello,

One way of achieving this sort of effect is to duplicate your footage twice and to use the tint tool on the top 2 layers of the footage:
map black to red on one layer and black to green on the other.

Set their blending modes to Multiply (you could experiment with some others). Apply levels to both layers and decrease the input white values to brighten the footage. Then slightly offset the position of these two layers from your original footage. This should give you your green and red edges.

Then it is a case of experimenting and fine tuning the effect. I hope this helps.
