Sure we havent even been given a spec for this project yet, I am trying to come up with an idea and get the ball rolling as early as possible. As I have said I would love to do something with video, but Im stumped with trying to involve code in a video project.

Im interested in 3d animation but I have not got much experience in it at all. Maybe a something in flash with video involved.

  • Yeah the end product will be a dvd.
I had files imported from a server, I have now got them imported locally.

I am rendering right now as an avi, its at 65% after 1hr20mins which is ok but I need MPEG-2, at highest quality as this dvd is going to distributors worldwide.

On my timeline I have hundreds of different video clips, photos, WAV files for the voiceover. I know that it is massive in size but I dont see that as a reason for it to repeatedly crash.

How would I find out if there is a corrupt clip in the timeline?

    Thank you for your help
    Much appreciated,
    Laura

  • Hi,
I could do that, but I was just thinking I should be rendering to Mpeg2 to import into DVDArchitect, should I ?
As soon as I try to render it says ‘An error has occured during the current operation’.

[DSE/Spot] “You could create code-based slides, backgrounds, moving letters/numbers/symbols, and put picture in picture media over top or beneath the moving letters/numbers/symbols just as one idea/suggestion.”

Im sorry but I dont understand what you are saying here ? Code-based slides ? Im unsure what you mean, could you elaborate? Thank you for your quick response

I deleted all the files in project media that i didnt need but there is loads there that I do need. So I guess Im stuck with it taking ages to open. 🙁

Also I have to decide on a final year project to do.
Im studying computing with multimedia so basically they like you to include code in projects, but I would love to involve some video in this project.

Any ideas on how to join a project involving a good bit of code and video ? As I have really really taken a liking to video recording and editting.

    Thanks again
    Laura

I guess I assumed it would be expensive.
Im studying computing with multimedia so I guess they would like for some code to be involved.
However I am a lot more interested in video and would like to involve this in the project.

“making a film that teaches something and is displayed on some sort of console”

This was just a random example.

    Thanks for replying

  • Ah !
ALways clicked ok because it came up wit the new copy option as default. Must have changed it without realising. Thanks guys. You wouldnt believe the amount of work I have to do in 2 weeks.

    Stressed out,
    Laura

Dont know if this will work, but make sure there not locked. Go to edit –> switches —> uncheck lock.
    Good luck fixing it
