Try to create the background by setting up certain parts of the wonderful and extremely versatile Fractal Noise effect as needed, but make sure to check the ‘Cycle Revolution’ when animating Revolution, thus you’ll get seamlessly loopable animations. I’m not in front of my machine, but AFAIR other effects (added to the Fractal Noise) are loopable as well…

Highly detailed and excellent (AFAIR works with Standard version):

Here’s another – you need additional plugins to complete, but it’s worth checking anyway…:

As you mentioned. He used the mask to make those text flares to disappear, otherwise they would have stayed there after the rotation completed. This masking tries to create the illusion where the text flare is only visible as the lens flare travels thru the screen and reflects on the surfacce of the letters… (huh, am I clear – or more English lessons would be neccessary?) 🙂

    my 2 cents

… to waste your time, but I simply miscalculated the Photoshop file.
I created the 121×120 mm image with 5 mm bleed in mind, which is 2,5-2,5 mm on each side. So I should have made a 131×130 mm image instead. It works now perfectly!

Sorry again, and thanks for your help!

    Here’s the situation:
I got the specifications from the CD company. The width is 121 mm, height 120 mm.
OK, so I made a 126×125 mm image in Photoshop (to match with the 5 mm bleed in Indesign – the 5 mm Photoshop “bleed” is masked out later).

The Indesign file is the same: 121 mm x 120 mm with 5 mm bleed on each side.
I place the psd, the control palette says it’s 100% and 125,9×124,9 cm).

Here’s a screenshot of the Photoshop file, and here’s the Indesign.
Everything seems to match, but finally doesn’t… 🙁

Check the Adobe Studio Exchange, you’ll find several calendar templates there.

I work for Juventus Radio, the CD came from the local EMI company, and it’s called “Blind”. 🙂

    Hi!

I just got a CD from the record company…
It’s a new single for Milk Inc. and I saw that one of the composers is a man named Filip Vandueren. Is this a coincidence? 🙂

Why don’t you try the Box Creator Lite which comes bundled with AE?
There you can easily set the different sides.

Drop 6 files to the timeline, enable ‘3D Layer’, and go to Window>Box Creator Lite.

Is this what you want to do?

July 20, 2005 at 1:58 pm in reply to: Video Preview from AfterEffects?

If you have 6.5, you can preview through a Firewire device.
Here’s how I do it: AE outputs to my Pinnacle card, my Sony camcorder connected to the card via Firewire, and the RGB video signal from the camera goes to the monitor.
But this is jut one solution…
