I did try that one. It was giving me squezzing results. I just want to take the footage an give it the effects as if I was laying in on a cylinder and it bent to fit not like layign it on a sphere.
Thanks!

Well you get what you pay for and that camera is a great camera. I paid $650 for the 4 gig card and now I think the 8 gig cards are going for $600 or something. $600 sould not be a deal breaker for you. This camera is worth it. I love the fact that I no longer have to set in/out points on my footage. When imported in to FCP they are already set up as clips. That is a major time save for me.

You know that is a good question. I know After Effects is smart enough that if you did want to do that you can use the speed adjustment and it would use the extra footage that was being skipped to slow-mo that footage. I guess you could try that same thing by adding a spped effect in FCP but I don;t know off the top of my head if it is smart enough to see the extra frames. It might take the frames like 2-4-6-8 since it is a 60p into a 30p and just try one of it’s blending methods. It would be nice to see if it is as smart as After Effects which would make use of the extra footage to slow-mo it.

I shoot this way alot. I use After Effects to convert it to an interlaced image because I find that it is cleaner in creating a 30i. If you want to create a 30p this can also be done in AE. Just create a 720p 29.97 timeline in AE and then drop your 60 footage into it. AE is a time based program not frame based. So if you insert a 60p into a 30p timeline it will by nature skip every other frame. When you render out if you select feilds then it will take advantage or the 60 frames and correctly interlace that footage, other wise you will create a a 30p version that skips every other one.

Thanks for your reply. Yes I wrote it, shot it and put it together. I learned some 3D modeling years ago and it helped me build the trebuchet.
Thanks!

Yes I was lookign for a smaller one as well. I just bought a Marshall monitor and am looking for a smaller one and also as a backup just in case. Did you make it yourself or did some one else do it?
Thanks!

I saw it with my own eyes. The quality is the same as the Marshall 7″ HD componant from what I could tell. It has been hard to focus with the 3.5 inch when I shot in HD and always need to use the focus assist button. This allows me to have a clear image to assist with the focus and it is halk the price. But after saying that now the Marshall felt more secure wrapped in a metal housing. This one is in a plastic housing but it is lighter and about a 1/3 the thickness and an 8″ wide screen.
Half the price I couldn’t resist so I bought it.
