    Hi John,

I’m in Central Pennsylvania. In the past the local businesses let us use their power. Each lighting bank had a max of 2100 watts which worked fine on separate 20 amp breakers. We light the block with 6 banks of these lights.

When you say vendor do you mean a lighting vendor?

    Thanks,
    Larry

That’s good to know. I was concerned about zooming all the way in at night at a football stadium and have a low light issue. On a side note, I’ve run into similar lighting issues with dances. I agree with you totally!

Thanks for the info Bill! Have you noticed any low light issues when the camera is zoomed in all the way?

    Hi Chad,

We use the Comber CM-LBPS 1800. I researched a bunch of lights (to say the least) and this one by far gave the best overall light quality and intensity. It’s heavy duty. The small battery gives you about an hour of use and the larger battery gives about 3 hours. It can also run from an A/C adapter.

It has a dimmer function, switchable color temperatures and LED lights. We use it on our HVX-200’s that are used everyday for the news, so they get a “workout.” We also use it as a hair light on our production shoots.

We are very happy with them.

    I bought mine here:

We don’t use a shoulder rig.

Thanks for the response Steve. They will fit in the budget too. Have you ever used a HPX370?

    Hi Shawn,

I’m looking for some new cameras for sports and I was considering the HPX370 because we are a local origination station and price is a factor. Were any of the issues you mentioned with the camera resolved?

    Thanks,
    Larry
