    Hello,

Been searching to find a relatively inexpensive light and shoulder rig for Panasonic Hvx200 but haven’t found much.

Would like to find a light that can mount on the camera, possibly where the mic goes on the handle in the front?

Also looking for a shoulder rig that would work with the camera made of metal and not plastic. Or if you can recommend a site that has instructions on making your own that’d be great too.

    Thanks for the help!

    Hi Chad,

We use the Comber CM-LBPS 1800. I researched a bunch of lights (to say the least) and this one by far gave the best overall light quality and intensity. It’s heavy duty. The small battery gives you about an hour of use and the larger battery gives about 3 hours. It can also run from an A/C adapter.

It has a dimmer function, switchable color temperatures and LED lights. We use it on our HVX-200’s that are used everyday for the news, so they get a “workout.” We also use it as a hair light on our production shoots.

We are very happy with them.

    I bought mine here:

We don’t use a shoulder rig.
