    Hi David,

Was this ever resolved? I have a used NX5U here and it blinks 4 times. It does the first two blinks about 1 second apart and then two quick blinks.

    Nothing is working…no screen, nothing.

    Thanks,
    Larry

I haven’t used that model, but I can recommend the AJA Mini converters. It would be the AJA HA5-Plus. They’re listed on the site as $395…might not be the cheapest in mix, but they do work well. Black Magic Design also has some, but I’ve never used them.

    Hi Tom,

Yes I did look at the 3Play at the CCW show, but I liked the RAID and power supply redundancy of the other systems. Have you used any of the systems, including the 3Play?

    thanks,

Thanks Bob. Are they all the same quality as far as the conversion to ASI is concerned?

    Al,

Thanks for the thorough review and info!

Our IT guy just purchased on Mac Pro with the Adobe CC suite, so we are going to take it for a “drive.” I’m not sure of the model the Mac Pro is.

I did have one more question: What do you use to archive your footage once your drives start to get full?

Thanks for the info Al. 90% of our video will be HD. We produce a daily news show, a 30 minute news magazine, commercials and other types of corporate videos for clients of different sorts.

Do you find the editing on the Mac is “smoother” or any better than Windows?

If you don’t mind me asking, what is the main reason you are transitioning to the Mac?

    Thanks,
    Larry
