  • Thanks, Noah.
So to be sure, a 1920 x 1080 project will always be downsized to 720×480, correct?

Are all hollywood movies that are sold as a DVD, not blu-ray, the same resolution, 720 x480?

    Thanks!

So I don’t waste anyones time, I went into compressor and see that I can burn a simple DVD within compressor.

I went and read posts from a year ago about DVD authoring options: DVD Studio pro, DVD architect, Adobe Encore are almost extinct. I don’t have any of these and they can’t be easily purchased.

    Any newer news?

Clues: The timeline is HD 1080 29.97 ,the clips in questions are full 4K 23.97 RED footage. I think I must be hitting a memory ceiling. Only 16GB on the mac pro.

I was on a 2014 i7 iMac pro then moved to a 2013 Mac Pro 6 core 16 gb ram. Files are Pre res 422.

this is the flow that comes with FCPX. I will buy Simons on Monday, but I cannot figure out why this would be an issue.

    Thanks to all

    Bill,
i agree, Its a pain with too many compound clips in a project timeline

    Good tip!

  • Hmm… let me test your theory.

I’m on a 2013 mac pro so normally things play fast.

    ……..Looks like you were right!

There must have been another longer render going that I didn’t see.

I’m really glad this saved it because I’m doing a lot of these and it would be a painful time consuming workaround without compound clips!

    \Thanks again!

I’ve tried twice to attach a still or footage, but it seems to have changed as to how to do that. The bear is quite round so finding a spot other than its not might be a challenge

  • So as that no one wastes their time I should say I do know how to add fonts into Font Book, and I know I need to restart to make them accessible.

My question is why I can’t select fonts in Photoshop that I see in FCPX?
