    Hi Alex,
I never really understood how the clip level and track level keyframes are different until you explained it to me. This makes some other things make sense now too.
Thanks for taking your time to help with this!

    Hi Susan,
Great thinking! I’m running Carbonite online backup in the background. I can definitely see the possibility that it could be attempting to back up the incomplete render file and causing the freeze. I’ll try disabling it and see what happens.
Excellent suggestion. Thanks for taking your time to assist!

Hi Austin – Thanks for the great suggestion. Fortunately, I have successfully completed the project by rendering limited ranges of frame sequences as .tiff’s and then combining them. However, I learned something really useful from your suggestion and I’d like to try your technique in the future.
    Thanks Again,

Hi Matt – Thanks for the great help and excellent suggestions. It sounds like you’re saying that ProAnimator has a very small memory leak that can add up over rendering hundreds of frames. Just knowing that will at times help me design my projects to compensate.
I have now succeeded in rendering my project! I rendered using frame sequences of limited ranges – rendered a third of the project at a time and then combined them. Whew! Glad to get this competed!
Thanks for your offer to have me send the project to you to examine for bugs. I think I’ll take you up on your offer. I may wait a week or two until I catch up on my schedule, but then I’ll send a zipped file.
Your expertise and support is greatly appreciated.
    Warm Regards,

Hi Ted – I really want to thank you for leading me to a workaround for my rendering problem. I performed multiple renders using .tiff sequences and the entire project is now finally rendered. This is a great technique!
Thanks for graciously giving your time to assist. If everyone was willing to help one another – what a transformed place this world would be!
    Warm Regards,

Hi Ted – I looked over the specifics on your proposed solution – to use image sequences – and it appears to be a creative workaround for my rendering problem. I’m excited to try it and get this project done!
However, I don’t see an option for starting the render at a specific frame number or location on the timeline. Do image sequences have to began rendering at frame 1 – i.e. the beginning of the project?
    Thx!

Hi Ted – Open GL is off.
I’ve never rendered files sequences. I’m not sure what that means. If you can provide a little direction, I’d love to give it a try.
    Thanks for the Assistance!
    – Larry

  • Thanks for taking the time to supply the example file! I’ll examine it carefully to learn the technique.

    Much Appreciation,
    – Larry
