Video was added in Version 2 – I know I bought the retail box for $499 at Frys after seeing Sonic Foundry booth at the DV Expo in Long Beach way back when… maybe 1999 or 2000.
I became a beta tester not long after for version 3 thru the present…

If you’re happy with PPro and not having any crashes there’s no reason to switch at all. Whatever tool helps you get the job done…

Another tip if you’re gonna batch export – sync up your god AUDIO with the seq. BEFORE batch export and you’ll have useable audio for every clip = great for music videos.
If you have a bunch of seq. on one timeline – just create a REGION around each clip – sync audio for each – then batch export.

This could be a BIG issue – Vegas never liked .tiffs too much. For image sequences try using .png’s next time. But image seq. in general are huge and a problem for most NLE’s – hope you have a really fast RAID.
There are many high quality video codecs out there – I might try uprezzing to Sony XDCAM 422 1080p next time – Vegas does really well with XDCM and Sony .mxf’s
You can also put your image sequences in a fresh 1080p project and then export them as XDCAM 422 50Mbps files for editing – works great! You can set up a XDCAM 422 preset and then use scripting to batch export all your image seq/ from one timeline to the folder of your choice. Those should uprez fine right inside Vegas.

Not saying its the problem at all. Actually your 460 may have more horsepower than your 550. But adobe wants 470 or 570 GTX as a minimum even though most of the latest bVidia cards have CUDA, the higher the model # the better. It’s the last 2 digits that matter 80 to 90 being best. And pricey of course.

Yeah we’re on version 11 – isn’t the app supposed to get better not worse? Some of my favorite features are moved or gone and the program is more unstable than it’s ever been! What’s going on Sony?

I’m with you Mark. I’ve sound designed several feature films and TV shows in Vegas – WHILE I was cutting picture and finished the final 5.1 mix while color timing using pro plug-ins for audio such as WAVES and isotope! Can’t do that in ANY other application.
Hilarious that Pro Tools 10 now allows real-time fades etc. without rendering a new file – revolutionary!

This is huge! I’ve uninstalled my New Blue stuff for now and things are better. Couldn’t even OPEN 32 bit Vegas until I uninstalled.
