I think he meant the interview was the same – not all the shots in the show.
When you use any effect in Vegas you’ll notice some pre-sets and a little disc icon – you can save any pre-set for any effect and even save a chain of effects – say Levels, Color Corrector and Brightness/Contrast as a pre-set.
If you’re using the Color Corrector for instance on your interview and like the result, you can then name it anything you like say “Interview 1” and save that as a pre-set. Then you can just drag that pre-set to each interview clip in the show.

I don’t think the 64 bit thing is a factor, though it can be a huge help. FCP 7 and earlier and Media Composer 5.5 and earlier are 32 bit app’s and have been used for years on feature films and TV. It’s taken a long time for PPro to get to its current state where it may finally be stable and useable enough to tackle high end shows. Many day to day editing features that veteran Editors rely on with Avid and FCP simply didn’t exist in early versions of PPro. Some are still missing but it is getting better and it seems Adobe is finally listening to power users, especially now that there is a window of opportunity with Apple’s tossing out their proven NLE for a a radical new one.

I agree Shane – love tracks. One of the things I love about Vegas Pro is the ability to assign Dialog, FX and Music to their own busses to quickly turn them off and on and for exporting stems. Even better is container tracks – meaning you can have say 20 FX tracks in a twirl down container much like Nuendo and now Pro Tools 10 – never understood why more NLE’s don’t have these features?

Keep in mind if you book one of the hotels listed on the NAB site – even if you get a better deal somewhere else – you’ll have a free shuttle to the convention center. If you stay off strip add the cost of taxis etc to your daily tab.
If you’re looking for the cheapest NAB hotel on the Strip check out the Riviera – they completely remodeled on of their towers and have decent rooms for around $69 per nite – and you can walk to the convention center via a rear pathway.

You can beat most of these prices booking directly through the NAB Housing site and many of the hotels do not charge resort fees and give you free wi-fi – big savings! For years NAB veterans warned me of booking though the NAB site – BAD ADVICE!!! You can save a lot of cash booking via NAB Housing site – especially if you book early.
If you’re staying off the Strip I highly recommend the Eastside Cannery!

It’s on the Boulder Strip next to Sam’s Town and is awesome! Stayed there the last 2 NAB’s for $39 per night and it’s only 10-15 min. drive to Conv Center. Great rooms and excellent buffet and food choices! Live music in the Lounge every night.

Keep in mind when booking through the NAB Housing site you don’t pay RESORT fees at many of the hotels and you get free wi-fi – big savings.

A lot of parties are announced to everyone and 1st come 1 served until registration is full. Many you have to be a customer of the vendor having the party. AJA party in designed for vendors first and users second so you usually have to know someone at a retailer or AJA to get in and it’s usually full BEFORE NAB.
