Done, and done.
Thanks, Alan.

I’d be glad to help if I can, Chris. Just remember that the guys who really know what they’re talking about are Alan Lorence and the other company guys here.
But I think you’ll probably figure it out for yourself anyway.
When you do, how about showing me how to do it? 🙂
Cheers,

That’s alls I can stand, I can’t stands no more!! Popeye the Sailor.
Your question has been languishing here forever without a response, so I thought I’d break the spell and answer.
I’m a total newbie myself, but I think I can at least give you a hint as to what to do, for what it’s worth.
I take it you want to apply a particle effect to footage of a helicopter, rocket, whatever?
If you check out the manual, you’ll see that you can import footage into the Stage. Double click on the small gray rectangle in the top left corner, and select your footage. Then, when your helicopter shot is visible in the Stage, you can apply a particle effect to its motion, frame by frame.
That help?

Yes, Chris, that’s the only way. But believe me, it’s time well-spent!
Here’s a link to the Wondersoft page where there are some simple “getting started” instructions.
https://www.wondertouch.com/pillusionSE-3.aspI’m almost certain you would have got a manual when you downloaded the demo. It’s not a long-winded, complex tome; far from it. It’s actually quite straightforward and will get you up and running immediately.
Matter of fact, it looked so simple that I didn’t bother reading it all through, with the result that I had to post a few dumb questions after struggling a bit.
Fortunately, Alan and the other guys here have a lot of patience. 🙂

You got that right, Lee!! Although I’ve never used MovieMaker, I have used iMovie 4 for a long time. Got dozens of plugins for it, but rarely use them.
Anyway, yesterday I bought Premier Elements 7 and Photoshop Elements 7 as a package and I’m pretty sure they’ll do the trick for me, (I trialled Vegas but frankly it baffled me.)
Thanks to you and everyone for the responses.
Cheers,
Kurt -
I hadn’t heard of that one, Mats, so I googled it. I may be wrong, but I think it may be just a tad too much editor for the likes of me. Looks like a professional’s tool. I’m very much an amateur.
But thanks for the tip. I’ll take a good look at it tomorrow and see what it’s all about.

So, I guess it’s probably a good idea to check for new drivers for everything that’s installed on a new computer.
I get my new computer tomorrow, so I’ll do that before I get too carried away playing with all the goodies.

I’ll take a look at Premier first,Leee, and then Vegas. Won’t be needing AE. Wish I could justify it, though!!
I’ve read a bit about Vegas, and as I said I’m currently trialling it. But man, it’s hard to get into. Maybe once I get a handle on it…

Avid. Yes, I’ve heard of it.
Thanks, Ra-ey, I’ll check it out. Hope there’s an entry level version, ’cause it’s a loooong time siunce I was a student!! 🙂

Sorry, Chris, here’s the link:

After you add an emitter to the stage, you can then go and select an additional one and add it right over the top of the first one. Just put the double-circle over the previous one and click to add it.
I think you can add as many as your processor can handle.
Cheers,
Kurt
