This may be nothing to do with PI, but I’ve never seen it before. Occasionally, when I’m just tinkering around with PI, I get an error message “An invalid argument was encountered”, and the program freezes. I have to ‘end task’ and restart PI.

Is this something to do with the program, or my computer?

    Thanks,
    Kurt.

Can’t say for sure, but most likely an OpenGL issue. Check your card manufacturer’s website for updated video drivers.

If you think it’s a driver, Alan, what I might do is just wait until I take delivery of my new computer, (this week, hopefully), and it should have the latest drivers, (not to mention a ton of other good stuff that PI will like!)

    Thanks.

    Cheers,
    Kurt

I doubt the new computer will have the latest drivers. Drivers get updated fairly often.

So, I guess it’s probably a good idea to check for new drivers for everything that’s installed on a new computer.

I get my new computer tomorrow, so I’ll do that before I get too carried away playing with all the goodies.

    Kurt.
