hi…yeah i know those digital dropouts that u r talking about…i used to do it with mosaic and some random square mattes plus i had to create the distorted image and composit it all together and time it perfectly too…it was tedious…i too would like to know a quicker way of doing this…not that i use it in most of my jobs but hey u never know when u might need to do it again…lol…sorry i wasnt much help but from what i know that was the way i used to do it back then and hope it might get u started on some kind of direction to creating that effect…cheers…merv

hi…actually sometimes AE does some weird things while you are working on it for too long…what i do is save the current project and close AE and relaunch the program…thats probably what happened in your case…cheers…merv

thats weird … coz when i tried what u did and it worked…i did it 2 ways…first was to create a composition the same size as your photoshop size and imported the photoshop file and dragged it into the timeline…second was to drag the photoshop file into the timeline without creating a composition…AE will automatically create a composition with the same size as yur photoshop size…hope it works for u…cheers…merv

hi…im not too familier with photoshop but i use coral draw to do some basic rotoscoping with moving clips as they can be imported as a moving clip where u can jog each frame as u paint…maybe photoshop can too?…well its an alternative u might want to explore maybe?…hope it helps…cheers…merv
