They use different cameras during the production, and some of the cameras quality is fairly low, but the camera used in the image from the link I posted show something else. They must have used another type of camera, and the look is what I’m after!

Yeah Color is a really solid tool! It was shot on a RED. So would you say that if I shoot (i shoot on a 7d) with a ND filter (neutral density) I would get that flat look which I could take advantage of in post? I think I wil experiment with that and desaturation and contrast.

What type of filter do you think is applied? Could be pink to blue type of filter. Hard to explain..

it is probably a recording issue. Some external recorders tends to drift of on longer takes. I don’t think there is much you can do about it, except cut the clips up and resync them.

I got those, but thanks! The video is shot on RED One using ultra prime lenses. Sure the retro look adds to the effect, but I’m just amazed with how good the grading look of it is. The same type of grading is also used in this video: https://vimeo.com/15560440

Just in the export. My settings are AppleProRes LT in sequence and file. I rendered the clip out with the settings “keep settings as it” or what it is called. It rendered out in AppleProResLT. I also tryed to render it out as H.264, and the same thing happened. Used Quicktime conversion.

I guess I have to do it in After Effects. But it would be nice to be able to do it directly in FCP. Thanks for answering!

Thanks for the info on cmd+j and all, but I’m talking about remap it with the pen tool, just like you do with the speed of the video. Is that even possible? I know it is possible with the audio effects, but can you change audio speed as well?
