could you explain more? how much difference?
I am not exporting the finished HDV quicktime to DVCPro HD timeline to render. I am just copying and paste the clips on the timeline to DVCPro HD so that the graphics, effects, etc are going to be rendered as DVCPro HD which has better color sampling rate.

Is still path2 much better in quality?

Ernie,

Motion and Color take advantage of VRAM on video card. Generally speaking, more video ram, the faster you can process.

But my answer is not fully answered yet.
I know that motion take advantage of more VRAM as well as other softwares.
But my question is how much different?
I know for sure that twice VRAM does not make the applicaiton run twice faster.
is $500 for additional 128MB VRAM worth?

Do you mean that even when I am using soundtrack pro, I should have some kind of video feed to get audio signal coming?

No, I am only digitizing the sound which is coming from mixer.

Does blackmagic card require video source even though i am only capturing the audio.

when I am trying to digitize the audio using soundtrack pro with input setup to Decklink, still i can’t get any audio in..

please help.

thanks your response but unfortunatelly, my question is not answered.

I am a DJ and have a mixer already, which amplify the signal and output to the speakkers. THis mixer has XLR output, also. So, I am set to digitize the audio. M-Audio device was recommended at DJ store but I realized that I already have black magic card which takes XLR audio. And I am talking about 500 records and many of them are only available in vinyl. anyone can actually answer my question?
