I don’t understand one thing: if videos can be opened with players (WMP, VLC, etc), why they can’t be opened with AE? Is there is any difference in codec settings, or what? =

Ow… Thanks you! Yes, I restarted my PC few times. I’ve never done anything of what you told me to. I’ll try to google how to do that.

    Thanks you again!

I can’t find any G-spot there, but there is “MediaInfo”. It returns that:

    Maximum bit rate : 6 000 Kbps

I tried to install both “Mega” and “64-bit” packs, but still files in AE won’t work… =(

I don’t personally compress these videos. Here is some information about one of that kind of files:

    Video
    ID : 224 (0xE0)
    Format : MPEG Video
    Format version : Version 2
    Format profile : Main@High 1440
    Format settings, BVOP : Yes
    Format settings, Matrix : Custom
    Duration : 51mn 23s
    Bit rate mode : Variable
    Bit rate : 4 100 Kbps
    Maximum bit rate : 6 000 Kbps
    Width : 720 pixels
    Height : 576 pixels
    Display aspect ratio : 4:3
    Frame rate : 25.000 fps
    Standard : PAL
    Color space : YUV
    Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0
    Bit depth : 8 bits
    Scan type : Progressive
    Compression mode : Lossy
    Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.395
    Stream size : 1.47 GiB (94%)

It’s what you ask about? Or something else?

    Thank you for your replay.

I think I installed some codec packs on my machine. Can you advise me “more extensive codec pack”? Or, maybe, some of them…. It would be great!

Yep, I doing like it right now. But I speaking about different thing: my footage have several hundreds plan changes. Make it manually — really long work. If there is some plugin to automatically trace change of the plan in my footage?
