No luck. It seem to change to original size so I made it smaller to fit the screen but the text still looks terrible. I put the graphic & text on a high def timeline and it was fine. I also tried the sequence preset that says apple intermediate codec720 the graphic was fine, but the video does not fill the screen. Any other suggestions?

David I did a complete install of all software & OS, However, that was not the problem. I finally figured it out. I am working on a project with over 70 timelines or sequences each one over 10 minutes. It seems that this is too much information for Final Cut Pro. Once I broke down that large project into Several small projects the system ran just fine. The system does run faster with the increased Ram. If you have the minimum ram I would suggest to add more it is worth it. Thanks for the help.

I took your suggestion and purchased new ram. I now have 6 gig of ram. Final cut still locks up. Any other suggestions? I contacted Apple and they said to update the software. I performed the check for updates and the system response is that software is up to date. Short of investing in a new machine, I have no idea what else to try at this time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
