I know you posted this a long time ago. What did you end up doing? I had tried TSA approved locks on Pelican cases when shipping by UPS and found that they were easily damaged by the shipping process. I had to have one cut off when I returned because it was so damaged that I couldn’t turn the tumblers. I went to zip ties instead. I figured I wouldn’t be able to stop a thief, but 1) it adds an extra step they have to take, 2) if the zip tie is missing on arrival and gear is missing, I then have evidence that someone within the shipping chain was responsible.

Anyways, would love to know what your solution was.

Walter – Thanks for the expression text. I had the pickwhip to the layer in the other composition, but I did not the .text.sourceText

    It did the trick.

    Thanks for the info.

Unfortunately, all of my video footage is the same frame rate and from the exact same camera and the only other thing I’m using are JPEGs.

I just started having this problem. I have never run into it before. Upgraded Premiere Pro CC about a week and a half ago. Very frustrating.

My project is 5 minutes long with video and stills. No effects applied except scale changes on stills to simulate a zoom.

Hana, did you ever solve this problem? I am getting it every time I try it. I was able to make it work several months ago, but not now.

Motion and Live Type are much better. Photoshop is much better. After Effects is much better. In fact just about anything is better than the title tools in Final Cut Pro. It’s awkward and hard to place things where you want to. (Can we get the ability to nudge clips up/down/left/right in FCP please? Or do I not know where to find that feature?)

However, when using any other application, test your workflow first, especially when it comes to aspect ratio and size with your specific sequence settings. Obviously, the wrong aspect ratio will make text look stretched or squeezed, but it can also make the edges of your text jagged. So experiment with the settings in the other application and also the distort setting for the clip once you get it into FCP.
