I may not have the correct workflow for this. But I use XCDAM Browser to copy the BPAV files from the card to a couple of locations for backup. in XDCAM Browser, you can set and use the CRC option for error checking.
After I’ve copied over the files, I then use XDCAM Transfer to un-wrap the copied files. I don’t think XDCAM Transfer has a CRC option, but I’m only using it to un-wrap files that are already copied and backed up.
XDCAM Browser might be able to perform the same un-wrapping function as Transfer, but I couldn’t figure out which option it was. So, if there is an option for this in Browser, I’d like to know it and save me the step using Transfer.

You can’t even see the clip in XDCAM Transfer?
Did you try to re-wrap the clip(s) in XDCAM Transfer? Select the entire source directory and Import?
What about XDCAM Browser? Did you try looking at, or playing the clip there?

I think this is another reason why I think they may not kill the Mac Pro.
It hasn’t been updated since 2010?
Sales are probably the lowest, both in units and revenue.
There are many sources of rumors and speculation discussing the Mac Pro’s demise.
Apple has been painfully pulling out of the pro video market.If they killed the Mac Pro now, everyone would simply say, “See, I told you they’d do it.” Right now would probably be the best time to simply kill it. (I can’t believe I’m sitting here on my Mac Pro typing this)
Mac Pro users are like the fish in the blender. “Well, are you gonna push the button or not? You’ve turned on all the other blenders. What are you waiting for?”
Okay, that’s too gruesome. How about this instead?
It’s like knowing your team has not been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. Then, when they finally are, you’re not happy, but not surprised. It was fun while it lasted, time to move on.
Well, I don’t want to move on.

You are correct.
But my point is, if you are a Mac Pro user and you would like Apple to keep designing, building and supporting them, then perhaps you should let them know.

Now you’re speculating. Although, I think one could argue that you are probably more correct than not, given Apple’s recent track record.
My guess is that if Apple was going to kill off the Mac Pro line they would have either done so already, or they are going to introduce something they feel will replace it. (emphasis on they) I think there is less of a chance that one day it simply disappears.
They ended the MacBook line with the introduction of the latest Air. I think you can say that MacBook users didn’t loose features or performance. (or did they?)
There are rumors (as always) of new, redesigns coming next year. The iMac is one, the Mac Pro is not. (at least the last rumor I saw) Perhaps they intend to offer some higher end iMac that they feel will replace the Mac Pro?
Although it seems to me people (graphic artists and video editors) use a Mac Pro for; lots of cores, lots of memory, lots of storage (and storage choices), graphics card choices, and specialty I/O cards. All but cores being user upgradable. I’m not certain this need is going away any time soon. Whether you are a Mac or Windows user. In the computer industry, power and speed go up and costs come down. Yet we can’t get enough.
So, it appears to me, reading what so many Mac Pro users are saying on so many forums, that they want more.
And of you do too, tell Apple.
It takes less time than reading my post, which is probably uninformative and misguided. (I’m sure someone else will do a better job describing my post that I just did)

Can you tell me what you do with the Transform effect? I’ll try it out once in a while, just to see if I can repeat it, since I’ve never had the issue since on 10.0.1.

Are you running Lion or Snow Leopard?
I’m on Lion and I’ve never had Save fail, or lost Undo.
I thought this was an issue that was addressed on 10.0.1.

While I have seen others post on this topic, I’ve never experienced it. There must be something different in your setup or workflow from mine.
Which is skipping, the Skimmer (the one that follows your cursor) or the Playhead (the one that stays where you click)?
Is there pattern as to when it happens?
Does it happen soon after you launch FCP X?
Does it happen after you’ve been editing for a while?
Will it go away for a while after you trash preferences?
Does it happen with every project?
Are there times when it never happens, or does it always occur?
Do you use a color correction SW for your monitors?
What format do you edit in?How is your system set up?
