In Adobe Media Encoder, click on the video tab. After clicking on the button to unlock aspect ratio, change the frame size to 1024 x 768.

Right Steven, you need to set it to “Desktop” in Premiere Pro CS5 for any custom sequence settings. The same holds true for Premiere Pro CS5.5, except that the setting says, “Custom”.

You may have to reset preferences. I have found that the CMD+D shortcut is the one with the default shortcuts and they are working fine for me in Premiere Pro CS5 and CS5.5.

There is no control surface for Premiere Pro, however, there is for Adobe Audition. You can make a feature request for control surfaces inside of Premiere Pro here: https://www.adobe.com/go/wish
