    AMEN John!

I love the Serious Magic stuff and still use them. The DV Rack HD program came with a sticker in the users’ manual (remember when you used to get those with the program)that said please contact Adobe for all service related issues. This was just as they were sold to Adobe.

I had a computer die and re-installed them on a new machine and needed new install codes. Adobe refused any help until I sent them a scan of the manual and threatened legal action.

The finally gave me new codes with the warning not to try it again!

Trust me Adobe, you don’t exist in my world!!!

ADOBE = Always Dumbed-down On Better Examination!

Adobe simply buys up a great program, dumbs it down and charges more, plus they usually bundle it with other overpriced programs that you don’t really need, or want, but have to purchase to get the program you do want!

    I HATE ADOBE!!!!!

    I love it!

I lost Max, “the studio cat” after 17 years of sitting on my shoulder watching the blinking lights and reel to reel recorders.

Pets are a wonderful addition to our families.

If you ever need a voiced over give me a shout. I just did a narration for a Winston Churchill piece for PBS.

    Cheers

Sony Vegas Pro is one of two of the greatest NLE’s made. I started out with Fast Electronics Video Machine. It was way ahead of its time with true hybrid editing. Sony bought them out, made their Espri system from its basis and then dropped it.

They learned their lesson and bought Vegas from Soundforge and continued to let it evolve. It is a great platform and I am glad I made the transition.

PS; does anybody want to buy three Video Machine machines complete with professional I/O boxes?

Here is the update and solution to my problem

It finally got to the point that when I tried to open Vegas, I got the message that it had stopped working.

I finally found three pieces of malware in the New Blue Titler. I removed them and everything works fine.

Thanks guys. I don’t think it is the file type, because I don’t even get to a folder to choose the file. I simply click on “Open File” and it stops.

I am using 1280×72 29fps stereo .mov files from a Kodak ZI-8. It’s never been a problem before.
