I’ve been using the 1080i setting, 29.97 to capture, and the sequence setup is also 29.97 But all my footage seems to be 6 frames off when played back in the timeline. I fix the audio, edit, print to tape, audio is in sync. But when the show goes to air after the networks get it and close caption/redub, the audio fluctuates in and out of sync throughout the whole show. Figure its the networks, but this doesn’t happen with any other shows on that same network.

Originally our show was to air on an HD network, and so we captured everything ProRes, but we couldn’t get anyone to close caption HD in the time we have to get our shows out (3 weeks before air) and so we’re behind, getting a show a week out, no time to have anyone but the networks close caption (SD), When the show is done I export as HDV108060i, to an HDV timeline and export to tape, as well as send them a copy of the HDV file on drive. We had captured all our footage a few months back as ProRes, Worked on a DVD, few other projects fine, and now am in the process of doing the show, no time to recapture everything as HDV. Do you think HDV has something to do with this problem?

That’s exactly What I thought, but how does it happen at two separate networks? one network the issue is not so bad, they down-convert for CC and air the show, the other network down-converts for cc, then up-converts for broadcast, and no other shows on those networks are having such problems. We can’t find where the issue is on either end.
