Let me provide some more details: When I play the footage on the camcorder itself (on the LCD screen) it is clearly at least around 50 fps. When I import the footage to my computer, it plays/edits at 25 fps (although quality is okay). How can I keep the original frame rate? Thanks.

This works perfectly. Thank you very much! I also found that disabling resample on fast forwarded clips (right click/properties) cut down a huge amount of rendering time (more than 70%). Just sharing as it might help someone else.

I think I need to go faster than 12x. But if that’s the only way (losing quality and time) then it’ll have to do.

I solved it by setting the ram to 0 in the video tab of preferences.

Thanks for your advice, but I do not have any image on my timeline, just videos. My HD is less than 3/4 full (300gb), and I have set my min and max pagefile to the same size (about 3000). Also I do not have Norton antivirus.

I am using MainConcept AVC because Sony AVC seems to limit the size at 720×480. MainConcept AVC seems to slightly change the numbers on the Width and Height no matter what number I enter in (except for 1280×720).
