But but but…you’ll need a mac with a fw port to set up the initial cross conversion using the aja control panel.

Hi Alan, check out T Tap from Aja.(or somethiing like that)
For nearly a year its been a door stop, as Carsten has pointed out above it has a new lease of life and it’s not affected by OS and FCPX updates, like some of the new thunderbolt io devices.
Just use the io HD as standalone up and down converter for professional monitoring, you don’t need a fw 800 port, just the SDI out of the T Tap…good news if you’re in the market for the new imac.

Don’t forget you can use the new T Tap to feed SDI to the IO HD
and theres your monitoring out of fcp x sorted.

Enhancer looks interesting, does anyone have experience of this filter.
Is it as good as says it is?
Would be interesting if anyone has experience of it enhancing good quality SD, enhancing not enlarging.

    Hi Tim,
This is a bug with the IO HD, go to sound prefs on the mac and deselect IO HD out and select mac output. The io HD will still handle the audio out so no worries. Have a search on this forum and you should turn up something.

Was using Prores HQ in standard def, nothing complicated. Simply laying 2 min seq back to tape, audio was coming in 1 fr ahead of picts…pictures were correct. Is there any way of delaying the audio in the system prefs or anywhere else?
    Thanks
    Kev

I have just upgraded quicktime to latest version, maybe that will help…will have to do some tests on thursday and come back to you.Busy with kona LHe…no problems there.

March 3, 2008 at 4:47 pm in reply to: IOHD Echo Issue

If you select sound prefs-output and instead of having aja io
put internal speakers, this appears to stop the echo.
Not obvious I know as you would expect o/p to be iohd, so the iohd must be live regardless of o/p in sound prefs.
Hope this helps…and wasn’t in the manual!
