I finally figured out why this was happening. It’s not a bug. It’s a setting. Therefore, it’s not just a matter of resetting the program settings by starting it up and pressing CTRL+Shift. It wanted to recompress my videos before burning them, but the bitrate it wanted to recompressing them to was lower than the allowed bitrate as entered in the settings.
Do the following:
Go to Options > Preferences
Click on the “Burning” tab.
Check the “Minimum Video Bit Rate” setting. If it’s higher than what the program is trying to recompress your video at when you go to burn (or output to folder), change the minimum setting so that it’ll allow it.
Mine was set to 5.000 Mbps. The recompression needed to go to 3.6. So, I set the minimum to 3.5 and the problem disappeared. The reason clearing the program’s cache and resetting all the settings works for this problem is because the default setting is 2 Mbps, which is usually low enough for just about anything.
