  • Yes I know, thank you – that’s the video I referred to in first post – BUT see attached: I can’t get my audio window to look like Adobe tutorial, see the “microphone” drop down menu above the word MASTER?

I can’t get it to show that – Also see my hardware choices – I need to choose Logictec which I do and I get nothing, the “Record” button, that turns red won’t work…what’s going on?

  • Sounds good – but here’s what I see after I highlife my audio 1 track, select the right mic input under Audio Hardwrae in Prefs, then the little R under READ won’t ever change or allow me to do anything…no matter what I choose, READ, WRITE, TOUCH, nothing, how to do?

  • Thanks for help all – so OPTION K just gives me that strange thing I wrote about, but Ann thanks, yes shift forward slash does the trick for that…

BUT I typed “LINK” in kbsc and it said nothing about how to do a split video/audio edit – so how to do one?

What a shame can’t do a match frame find in timeline like FCP 7

Excellent, I just made Option F to find source clip in project

Here’s the TV video about VO – but I can’t get half of the controls up that he talks about…

  • hmmm, I understand F1 for everything – but what is Option K? When I do that (very latest PP CC) I get a strange inch tall screen-width white oval tube with the number 1 in the far left corner…???

  • Thanks for advice – yes I’ve already made the keyboard shortcuts FCP 7…but how to do my above questions…

Thanks for replies – so basically I was thinking the 12 core, 32GB RAM, D700 for sure…so not being technical, the clock speed which is far lower than the 6 core machine, isn’t really a factor at all? It’s the most cores you want for best video editing correct?

OK, so what exactly is LUT? I know it’s Look up table but is it a LOOK that is applied instantly to the clip but can’t tweak it or what is it? Is it like using MB’s Quick Looks or something?
