Using very latest Adobe PP CC, How to do:

A split audio/video edit, and visa versa

How to record VO’s in the timeline, while watching the timeline edit

    Play “in and out” only

How to do a match frame from SOURCE to Timeline

How to do a FCP 7 shift F which finds bin the source is in?

I’ve seen the Adobe TV video on record VO and for some reason I can’t get the same audio window video shows..

    Thanks

First thing is set the keyboard shortcuts to fcp 7. Amazingly when I’ve done something instinctivly it works just like FCP. Like “f” will matchframe. “t” selects all clips to right of cursor.

Option + K and F1 from inside the program for everything else.

hmmm, I understand F1 for everything – but what is Option K? When I do that (very latest PP CC) I get a strange inch tall screen-width white oval tube with the number 1 in the far left corner…???

[Kent Beeson] “A split audio/video edit, and visa versa”
Type the word link in the KBSC

[Kent Beeson] “Play “in and out” only”
type in to out in the KBSC

    [Kent Beeson]
How to record VO’s in the timeline, while watching the timeline edit”

dont know: i record in audition

[Kent Beeson] “How to do a match frame from SOURCE to Timeline”
    Not possible

[Kent Beeson] “How to do a FCP 7 shift F which finds bin the source is in?”
    type in: reveal in project

[Kent Beeson] “I’ve seen the Adobe TV video on record VO and for some reason I can’t get the same audio window video shows..”

Thanks for help all – so OPTION K just gives me that strange thing I wrote about, but Ann thanks, yes shift forward slash does the trick for that…

BUT I typed “LINK” in kbsc and it said nothing about how to do a split video/audio edit – so how to do one?

What a shame can’t do a match frame find in timeline like FCP 7

Excellent, I just made Option F to find source clip in project

Here’s the TV video about VO – but I can’t get half of the controls up that he talks about…

LINK has no kbsc yet, so you make one up.

Are you running the latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC? If so, there is a new VO feature that is very easy to use. Just mark In to Out and click the Mic icon in the audio track and the countdown begins for the VO. If you don’t see the Mic icon, reset your workspace.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Sounds good – but here’s what I see after I highlife my audio 1 track, select the right mic input under Audio Hardwrae in Prefs, then the little R under READ won’t ever change or allow me to do anything…no matter what I choose, READ, WRITE, TOUCH, nothing, how to do?
