    Hi Serge,

Being new to both IL and Invig…. do I need to do some work on this to make it open? I can get the basic shape into AE/Invig, but get stuck after that point. I see the groups, and have opened it in IL….I see the layers and construction…. but still stumbling in the dark.. appreciate a push in the right direction 🙂

    Thanks,
    Ken

    Thank You Oli!!!!!!!

I looked through a lot of stuff on Adobe, but hadn’t found this one. I wonder why it only affects on capture? Guess I will have to set this when ever I want to capture, and then reset it when I go to edit/render.

    Thanks again.

Just make sure you keep the drive letter straight too. That was another problem we had early on. I would send him a project that I had put on Drive E: …. he puts it on Drive D: , and then has to re-tell Premiere where everything is.

    Good Luck

The only way I have found to bypass the conform thing is to make a new sequence within your original project. In your case, you would open the original “My Family” project, and then in the project window, add the new sequence for “Karaoke Night”. Since it is all in one project, Premiere won’t re-conform.
Doing weddings, my partner and I were passing projects back and forth and running into the conforming issue until we discovered you can create as many sequences as you like within the original Project, which was already conformed.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks Mark.
I will also do a search. You provided some valuable information that I was also thinking about, to avoid traps and have a bad production.

December 13, 2005 at 2:06 am in reply to: DVD To PPro

I did something similar. Connected my DVD player through my Canon GL2, and then captured the footage directly into PPro. It worked wonderfully, put the DVD on pause, start capture, and then hit play on the DVD. After that PPro considered it normal footage, and conformed the Audio.

    Hope that Helps,

Thank you so much! That is a wonderful way to do a slideshow. Going to take me a bit to figure out the camera controls and such.

Do you have a project file for that Jeremy? I liked it. I need to learn the camera movement part of AE next.
