December 26, 2017 at 7:46 pm in reply to: VP 15 and New Blue?

To be clear – I received a “serial number” for new blue filters when I upgraded. But when I add a New Blue FX, it comes up with a giant red x over my event. When I click the activate button and enter (paste) my serial number in they gave me, the activate button is not enabled still, so i have no way to activate it? Confused?

Also noticed that it didn’t pull in any of my rendering templates? Everything is still there in 13 – neverr had this problem when updating before?

September 11, 2015 at 2:52 pm in reply to: Re-Sync Takes AFTER Multi Cam is created?

So appreciate all the thoughts. To clarify – I DO always save a “just before multi cam created” version of projects. I had already done a lot of editing of this one though after multi-cam to go back that far.

Also – this wasn’t a “Drift” – this was several sections off 8 or so seconds. I had synced originally to audio using plural eyes – these were either sections I somehow missed originally or something bizarre happened. In any case, using the “synchronize by slipping” command worked perfectly, so all is well now. Thanks All!

hmmmmm – moving the out-of-sync take by “slipping” seems to leave the other take unaffected and therefore works – if so – this is the solution – I’ll report back if not – otherwise, assume it works.

no luck there – the takes on the multi-cam track don’t seem to be grouped together in the standard way – so unless I’m missing something?

Thanks … but question … how is AVC the same thing as MPEG-2 ? When I think of MPEG-2 I think of an mpg file used for a DVD. N’est pas?

I get really confused between all this crap and what goes with what, what is part of, or the same as, or imbedded in something else, etc.

Well – on the phone they said they take mp4 (which is what I’m doing ) though it does say mpeg 2 on their spec sheet.

The real question I have at this point is why does vegas make a 59.94 frame rate when I export an mp4 at 29.97?

Video is mostly Vegas text, some png/jpg stills, and a couple short clips of 1080 quicktime mov from a stock site.

Project is set as 1080i upper 29.97.
I export it the same way … 29.97 upper, 1080i and then meidainfo will show it as frame rate of 54.94 with “original frame rate” of 29.97. Here are specs from vegas template.

“Audio: 192 Kbps, 48,000 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo, AAC
Video: 29.970 fps, 1920×1080 Upper field first, YUV, 36 Mbps
    Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.000”

    Comcast wants 1080i/upper at 29.97.

    HTH! and THANKS!
