    MPEG 2 file extensions

    On the mpeg 2 render settings (Main Concept MPEG-2 – VP12) it automatically will change from mpg to m2t to m2v file extension depending on the template I choose.

    Question: what is it about/within the templates that make it do so? IOW, what determines the file extension?

    Also – can I make an HD 1080i 16:9 29.97 MPEG 2 as an “mpg” file? None of the templates seem to support that?
