I was having a similar problem awhile back. Then I got a new GeForce GTX470 graphics card. Things improved greatly. I never loaded in 9.0d. I’ve been running 9.0e and have 10.0a installed.

You can do a lot of tweaking in Vegas to help make it more stable.

This is happening in Vegas Pro 9.0e on WIN 7 64-bit. After fixing the video events that were switching and saving to a new project, upon opening that project they switched back to the wrong video events. Something somewhere is telling Vegas to make these changes, because it ain’t me.

OK. May be a studio question, but where do I CHECK the Field Order for the Project and Media. I know where to change for rendering and Upper, Lower and progressive all produced this interlace problem. This is DV footage. Not sure if this job started as a DV or HDV project.

The only thing that changed is I downloaded some Precomposed templates for After Effect and Encore. And maybe a flash player update.

I guess I can setup WIN 7 to do auto backups?

The big problem is I’m getting what looks like an interlace problem which can be seen in any movement. The cleanest I can get is to render out as HDV 720-30p. I’ll burn that test to DVD soon and check the results.

I do have Vegas 10.0a but I’ll wait to upgrade. I may try the uninstall/install of Vegas 9.0e tomorrow and see if that fixes it.

Not quite. I’m still having problems with DJ Compositor’s Toolkit. Using either the original QT or the matte QT, Vegas’ alpha does not work. This is a BIG setback in us using Vegas since we use these a lot. Is there another possible work-a-round? Switching between NLEs is a pain sometimes.

Not quite. I’m still having problems with DJ Compositor’s Toolkit. Those are the ones of actual HD footage shoot with black backgrounds. They don’t work in Vegas. I can’t key of alpha out the black. Any experience with this set of visual FX from DJ?

OK, I need some direction here. So far I cannot get any of my Digital Juice FX that have alpha to work in Vegas. Just dropping in the source file, I am not getting any alpha channel. And the source files are no where near the quality I was getting in my other NLE. So there has to be a secret somewhere to make it work if it does work in Vegas.

Since I use a lot of DJ FX in my projects, if I can’t get then to work in Vegas this will be a major road block. I need to know this now.

I don’t see anywhere in Pan & Crop tool (on the DJ FX clip) where “Match Output Aspect” is nor any alpha channel setting!!!
