Vegas Just Trashed My Just Finished Project!!!!
This happened before from footage captured by Vegas’ capture engine. Now it has attacked my just completed wedding. We were watching the final DVD and noticed in 3 places the visual images were NOT what we had in the finished edit. It appears fine on our test DVD, but not on the final DVD. (I made a few small adjustments before the final).
Looking on the timeline, the video is NOT the video that was there originally. In this on clip in the timeline, named “RecB-020”, the actually video is from another clip not even used. Looking at the same clip in the Project Media bin, IT IS the correct video.
Somehow, these video clips are being swapped with another. And this happened in 3 placed that we can tell at this point. There may be more that I haven’t noticed. Unless I can recall every single clip in this wedding, who knows what else may have switched. How is that even possible for the software to strip out video from one clip and insert video from another?
Now when I’m trying to FIX these clips, Vegas keeps crashing. I even saved it out as a new project. Hope it’s not normal that Vegas can corrupt an entire project. This is sickening now.
This first fully-produced Vegas wedding just hit the fan and got shredded. There better be some kind of fix or solution?
Help!
