Thanks Gary. Unfortunately, the menu on the 1400 is not the same as the 1200 so I am a little confused………. and frustrated! OO2 is the tape timer on the 1400! I’ve tried to figure it out with no luck. Do you have the settings for the 1400 deck?

    Thanks

I have to agree about Lacie drives, they have caused me more head aches that I care to talk about! Had a 200G and a 250G die within a year and a half! I bought some Glyph HD’s………..so far so good!!

It rocks for HD material, however I personally don’t like it for SD. I went back to my Sony PVM-9L3 for shooting SD. It nice and compact, easy to take on a plane though, I like having the waveform for reference, only wish it came it the IRE numbers! The Portabrace case that I have for it is pretty good, except for the hood, that needs a bit of improvement, too flimsy.

    Just my .02 cents worth

Yes I do still have the original P2 files backed up on a drive. I even trashed the ones that were offline and transfered them again, still offline. Very strange……. When I transfered the files, I just copied the files into the MXF-1 folder of the Avid media files. All the other clips are fine. The work around I found was to open them up in FCP, export to a QT file, then import them into a bin, worked, but not the best solution! Have you experienced this before?

    Cheers,
    Kelsey
